“Norky Marani” company was founded in 2020 by Derdzakyans based on the family’s 150-year-old home winery to continue family traditions and develop wine production
purpose. The founders are the Derdzakyan brothers and their close friends. The goal of the founders was to create and develop in Armenia the long-known direction of traditional wine in small cellars and wineries, which in recent decades has been actively spread in European countries and implies family wine production. The production is based on the technologies and methods of the Derdzakyan family. At the initial stage, the company plans to produce up to 1,500 deciliters of wine annually. They are used in production high-quality grape varieties: black “Areni” and white “Kharji” from the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, white “Kangun” and black “Karmrahyut” from the Armavir region, as well as “Khachabash” type of white grapes from the vineyards of Nork. Permanent laboratory control and the introduction of modern technologies make it possible to obtain a product that meets the legislative requirements for wine and GOST standards in Armenia and Eurasia. in the countries of the economic union. In 2020, the company founded and registered the “Norky Keghar” trademark. Today, the company produces and sells wines in the territory of Armenia and plans to enter the foreign market.


OUR GOAL

The goal of the founders is to renew the winery and the family production, to establish a cultural and educational center based on it, where it will be possible to taste wines and become acquainted with the historical and traditional production of the Armenian wine in Nork administrative district of the City of Yerevan, dated back to the XIX century, the various grape varieties and wine types, which is of key importance for preservation of the cultural heritage. The revival of the family wine production in the territory of Armenia, and over the time — also putting it into the large scale manufacturing, the application of production technologies and bringing the quality assurance in compliance with the legislative norms, will enable with consolidation of producers to create a new alternative profile of factory wine in Armenia — the boutique (family) wine production.
